Cling Launch Team

It’s almost here!  Cling: Choosing a Lifestyle of Intimacy with God releases March 1, 2017. In addition to the book, there will be a 6-session DVD study, which also releases on the same date.

As I’ve shared, cling is a word that has been on my heart for years, a frequent cry of my heart—Lord, help me to cling to You. That prayer arose as I studied Deuteronomy and was swept away by that one word in these verses:

“You shall fear the LORD your God; you shall serve Him and cling to Him, and you shall swear by His name.” Deuteronomy 10:20

“You shall follow the LORD your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.” Deuteronomy 13:4

That word had apparently become such a part of me that it even worked itself into one of my novels. Two weeks ago a young woman was reading Faithful and sent me a screen shot in which one of the characters was exhorting others to cling to God. I couldn’t believe it—I’d forgotten that! Then I looked at the acknowledgements for Faithful and saw this in the first paragraph:

“ . . . You are the vine, and I am the branch—apart from You, I can do nothing (John 15:5). I’m so clinging to You, Lord!”

My desire to cling has only deepened—as God has made me aware continually of my need to cling to Him. It doesn’t mean I’ve done that anywhere near perfectly. I’ve seen the difference—what my life looks like when I’m clinging to God, and what it looks like when I’m not. And I know without a doubt that the ultimate place of blessing, of protection, of peace, of joy, of strength, of sweet intimacyis when we are clinging to God.

In the book I talk about the fact that we were created to cling to God, and that God not only desires intimacy with us—He’s put in place everything we need to be intimate with Him. I share how we can grow in intimacy with God, as well as what distances us from God—and much more. I am praying that the Lord will use the book’s message to make an eternal impact, for His glory.

This is where you come in. If this message is one that resonates with you, would you prayerfully consider being part of the launch team to help spread the word? As a launch team member, you would be able to join a private Facebook group where you can download a free, advanced copy of Cling. (If you are not on Facebook but desire to take part, see below.) In return, we would ask that you do the following:

  • Read Cling and leave a review on Amazon the week the book releases.
  • Spread the word on your social media channels and in your spheres of influence.

More details will be provided in the Facebook group for launch team members. We will also have ongoing interaction within the group, where I will be available to respond to questions and comments, or to simply engage around the content as you read. If you are willing to take part, simply follow this link to request to join: Cling Launch Team.

I know some of you are not on Facebook, or maybe not on any form of social media, and yet could be vital to help launch the book. If this is you and you desire to be part of the launch team, please let me know via email.

Also! We are planning a launch party for Cling here in St. Louis—Friday, March 3. Details to come, but if you are in or near St. Louis—or if you can get here—come celebrate the release with us!

Finally, I’m excited to share the trailer for Cling. Many prayers have been prayed for the Lord to use this book and study mightily. And we know that He is faithful!
