I am so excited to finally show you all the other book I’ve been working on this year. I’ve been telling people it felt like I was operating out of different sides of my brain as I switched between nonfiction and fiction. But I have to say—it felt good being back in the fiction groove. Many of you know it’s been two years since my last novel (Hidden Blessings) was released. And for a time, especially after I got the contract for Cling, I prayed about whether God was calling me to give up fiction altogether. But when this story formed in my mind, I knew I had my answer. And I’m so glad!
I loved writing this story because it felt like I was among old friends. Treva and Jillian are back! They were in my very first novel, Heavenly Places, which was released in 2008. And to add to the fun, they meet up with Cyd and Stephanie, from my novels that followed. Also, I’ve participated in a couple of book club discussions this fall and have been blown away by how many people—okay, ladies—love Lance (from Hidden Blessings). I didn’t even know that as I was writing, but I’m happy to share—Lance is back too. :)
But, if you haven’t read any of those books, no problem. You’ll be able to pick up the book—or e-reader—and run from here.
The release date is right around the corner—December 2! Though I Stumble will be available in paperback and on various e-Book platforms. Right now, you can pre-order the Kindle version here: http://amzn.to/2fc3deK
For readers outside of the United States, pre-orders are live on Kobo: http://bit.ly/2fNTsSm
And stay tuned—I’m excited to share something else on the week of the release . . .
“. . . though he may stumble, he will not fall,
for the LORD upholds him with his hand.”
